Lubricants, also known as lube, are liquids or gels that reduce friction and irritation during sexual activity. They can be used by people of all genders for any type of sex, whether it's solo or partnered.

Which to buy?

  • Water-based good for partner play, solo play, and with toys. Some are made with moisturizing properties such as vitamin E and aloe. Cons: absorbed into the body quickly.
  • Silicon based are slick and long lasting. Excellent for solo play partner play, and shower play. Cons: not compatible with silicon toys.
  • Oil based lubes and serums are slippery and often made of natural ingredients. May be used for solo play or partnered play. Cons: do not use with condoms.
